Cody knows education is about the kids, not dollars or special interests, so he will always do what's best for the children in our schools. As one of the early advocates for a return to in-person learning, Cody knows that children learn best when they're in the classroom. He'll fight to make Yukon Public Schools' kids the best educated students in the states.
ADVOCATES FOR PARENTS
As a Yukon Public Schools parent, Cody knows the needs of the parents in our district. Since he's been on the board, Cody has had an open-door policy to all the parents in our community. Time and time again, it's proven that education outcomes increase when parents are involved. Cody has been making sure parents' needs are met in Yukon Public Schools.

Cody Sanders and his wife, Hayden, are proud parents to their daughter, Harper, who is a student at Yukon Public Schools. As a father, Cody wants what is best for his daughter. Since he was elected to serve on the Yukon Public School Board, he has fought for the best educational outcomes for all students.
PUBLIC SERVANT
Public service is in Cody's blood. Following in the footsteps of his father, Cody pursued the career of a firefighter. He has devoted his entire adult life to keeping people safe, and he has demonstrated his willingness to put his life in danger to protect our communities. Cody was elected to the Yukon Public School Board in 2021, and he is the sitting president on the board.
