It is an honor to serve Carter County with the experience, conservative leadership, and accountability taxpayers deserve.
After earning my Business Administration degree from the University of Central Oklahoma. I built my marketing career with IMTEC Corporation before joining the Carter County Assessor’s Office, where I was later appointed and then elected County Assessor.
I hold Advanced and Basic Certifications in appraisal methods, techniques, and valuation through the Oklahoma Center for Local Government Technology (CLGT), ensuring property is appraised fairly, accurately, and according to state law. Under my leadership, our office has earned three perfect Oklahoma Assessor Performance Audit scores, including being one of very few perfect scores awarded statewide in 2025.
I believe taxpayers deserve fairness, transparency, and an open-door office that follows the rule of law - without special favors or political agendas. In my leadership roles in state associations, I advocate tirelessly to state leaders and lawmakers to modernize laws, to ensure the protection of taxpayers and private property.
My husband, Steve, and I proudly raised our family in Ardmore, and I remain committed to serving Carter County families with integrity and conservative leadership

As low living costs attracted newcomers to Oklahoma, housing shortages and rural land purchases tied to the state’s medical marijuana industry increased land values. Longtime Carter County families faced rising property taxes due to outdated state laws. Kerry Ross is using her leadership positions and expertise to fight for reforms to protect homeowners, farmers, ranchers, seniors, veterans, and working families.
